Barnes & Noble Partners With Microsoft

Barnes & Noble Inc. (NYSE: BKS) partnered with Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) to form the digital reading subsidiary Newco with Microsoft investing $300 million for a 17.6% stake. Shares of Barnes & Noble leaped $8.26 to $21.95 while Microsoft stock added 3 cents to $32.01.
