Visiting Angels Homecare is pleased to announce the start of another one of our popular series of classes called the “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” in Orlando, Florida
PRLog - Mar. 7, 2014 - WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Visiting Angels Homecare has partnered with Orlando Lutheran Towers, Arden Courts Memory Care Community, and Vitas Innovative Hospice Care. This partnership allows the “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” classes to be available at no cost to any Alzheimer’s or other related dementia caregiver in the community.
The “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” is a series of six classes addressing the unique issues of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The classes are once a month for six months and this series is starting March 25th, 2014 at the Windsor Place at Orlando Lutheran Towers, 404 Mariposa St., Orlando, FL 32801.
The classes are modeled in order of what a caregiver will go through once their loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other related dementia. Professionals in each field will be presenting the following classes: Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias, Legal and Financial Matters, Effective Communications, Surviving Challenging Behaviors, Medications/Research, and Choices of Care (Community Resources).
