Missouri American Water Acquires Emerald Pointe Utility Company Water and Wastewater System Assets

Missouri American Water has acquired the water and wastewater system assets serving customers living in the Emerald Pointe development near Branson in southwest Missouri. The system adds approximately 380 water and wastewater customers to the company’s customer base. The Missouri Public Service Commission (MoPSC) approved the application for ownership on March 12, 2014.

“The acquisition of this system gives the residents of Emerald Pointe access to full-time water and wastewater professionals and extends the Missouri American Water footprint in Southwest Missouri,” said Missouri American Water’s President Frank Kartmann.

Emerald Pointe will become part of the Missouri American Water’s Tri-Lakes District providing water and wastewater service to over 7,000 customers in Warsaw, Sedalia and the Branson area.

Customers will be receiving information to address questions regarding bill payment and customer service.
