UPDATE 1-UK regulator bans ex senior UBS trader over Adoboli trading losses

LONDON, May 1 (Reuters) - Britain's financial regulator on Thursday banned a former senior colleague of Kweku Adoboli, the UBS "rogue trader" jailed in 2012 for running up $2.3 billion in unathorised trading losses, from holding regulated financial industry jobs.
