Mr. Kilfin attended Stetson University College of Law from 1997 to 2000. Upon graduation, he accepted a position with the Pinellas county State Attorney's Office, where he worked as a prosecutor for the next six years. In 2008, after working for nearly two years in a St. Petersburg area civil firm, Mr. Kilfin associated with a close friend and former prosecutor to form one of Pinellas county's most successful and well respected criminal defense firms. As a partner with the firm, Mr. Kilfin represented numerous clients throughout the Tampa Bay area in an array of criminal matters, including assault, battery, drug trafficking, firearms offenses, and murder. He was published in Super Lawyers Rising Stars and The National Trial Lawyer's Top 100.
In 2013, Mr. Kilfin formed The Kilfin Law Firm, P.C. in Peachtree City, Georgia. He is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Georgia and decided to launch the business there to reconnect with his parents, siblings, neices, and nephews. In Georgia, Mr. Kilfin represented dozens of clients in numerous criminal and traffic related matters, including DUI, hit and run, possession of controlled substances, distribution of controlled substances, aggravated assault, and burglary.
After a successful year in Georgia, Mr. Kilfin is returning to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he attended law school and practiced for nearly fourteen years.
