Biologics, Inc. Secures Over $29 Million in Copay Assistance for Cancer Patients in 2014

Biologics, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Patient Access Services team secured over $29 million in copay assistance for patients diagnosed with cancer in 2014.

One in four of Biologics’ patients request financial assistance to help them afford their medications. Due to the high costs associated with many cancer drugs, patients are often put through a financial strain during the course of their treatment.

To alleviate this financial burden, Biologics screens individuals for patient assistance program eligibility, provides copay assistance counseling and manages enrollment. The team also works directly with charitable organizations, foundations and drug manufactures’ assistance programs.

Throughout treatment, the Patient Access Services team continues to monitor the patient’s out-of-pocket costs and copay assistance balance so that any potential issues are resolved before they arise.
