HOUSTON - Nov. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- The Avalanche Food Group (AFG) raised $62,000 for three Houston-based charities through its annual Bra-Tacular event hosted at each of its seven Twin Peaks restaurant locations in October.

The AFG Bra-Tacular events have now raised $147,000 over the past two years, helping hundreds of women across the state of Houston receive free mammograms and covering the costs of necessary treatment.

This year, charities wrote in or sent a video to explain why their charity should be picked to benefit from this event. The chosen charities include, The Rose Foundation, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Breast Health Collaborative of Texas along with Making Strides Corpus Christi and the I.W.I.N. Foundation in Indianapolis.

The event was held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the month of October, and drew participation from over 100 Twin Peaks Girls company wide. Each Twin Peaks Girl had the opportunity to create and design her own bra to be auctioned off for charity.

“Every year the Bra-Tacular event continues to grow and this October didn’t disappoint,” said Ricky Rosa, COO of Avalanche Food Group. “We had great participation from our Twin Peaks Girls and were extremely honored to work with three amazing local charities to help them continue the fight against breast cancer.”

Avalanche Food Group owns seven Twin Peaks locations that hosted auctions for the Bra-Tacular event, including its restaurants on Webster, Kirby, Hwy 290, Kirkwood, Shenandoah, Corpus Christi and Indianapolis.

The Rosa brothers, John, Joe and Ricky, founders of Avalanche Food Group, are looking forward to expanding the Twin Peaks Brand and expanding into new cities across the state of Texas and nationally.

Twin Peaks currently has 72 locations nationally with plans for an additional 15 locations before the end of the year.
