The Wall Street Journal reported that Hasbro Inc. (Nasdaq: HAS) offered to acquire Mattel Inc. (Nasdaq: MAT). Shares of Hasbro leaped $5.38 to close at $96.83 while Mattel stock surged $3.02 to close at $17.64.
