65 million tonnes of e waste need to be recycled.
Urban Mining 2035, Rare Earth Recycling 2035, Electronic Waste Recycling 2035 and Waste and hazardous Waste Worldwide 2035 are part of the zero waste market, high profit and worldwide markets.

Beside of dematerialization, demand for materials continues to increase. However, the supply of natural resources still remains fragile. The attention is now on "urban mining," while recognizing the unchanging importance of natural ore mining.

Worn-out and discarded electrical appliances and electronic equipment are still mostly disposed with household waste, hazardous waste or exported to countries in Africa and Asian,partly left in the sea. The recycling rate is worldwide between 1 and 12 percent depending on the country. Only in 2010 are 65 million tonnes of e-waste generated worldwide, with a increase of 5 percent per year. We know since a long-time that this is hazardous waste. Today we know that this is not waste anymore but very valuable raw material,like rare earth, in the futures, energy savings, new jobs, environmental protection and a billion $ business.


Beside of the classic recycling companies we expect that over 600 cities worldwide will enter this new business in the next 15 years. The races is on the recycling technologies and only 8 companies and 12 research institutes lead the developments today, but there are more in the future.

Recycling is possible and to make distribution, collecting and sorting is also possible today. More important in the future is that the producer of e-products are part of the value chain from the beginning of the design of products.

The value chain will be 1. product-design, 2. production, 3.usage, 4. licensing, 5. collecting, 6. sorting, 6. Treatment, 8. compounding, 9. processing and 10. sales of raw materials or retro distribution.

The German and Japanese government pushing with high speed the developments and want the communities to take there chances for new profit potentials and jobs.
