Nature and Biomimicry Yield New Discoveries at Blue World Crete, Inc.

Pompano Beach, Florida (MMD Newswire) June 18, 2012 -- Suppose I told you that the sweat of the hippopotamus is an antiseptic and an insecticide all at the same time. Not only that, but the sweat is an incredible sun blocker protecting the animal from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. Amazingly, this reddish sweat was created and perfected by nature to ward off those pesky insects and heal the skin scratches of the hippopotamus. Imagine if we could create a formula for mankind to use. This is biomimicry.

As we look through the many animal and plant species, we are impressed with the fact that there is a lot to learn from Mother Nature. In fact, research scientists at Blue World Crete Inc. located in Pompano Beach, Florida are betting that nature has the answers for many of our present environmental problems.

We spoke to Reverend Daniel Panitz, CEO at Blue Word Crete who enthusiastically told us that his company was very busy mimicking the work of Mother Nature. He told us that by following the natural biological processes of the animals and plants, that these would lead man to many solutions for the environment. He pointed out that the silk worm's web is a natural protein fiber that not only provided incredible iron like strength but could possibly be the replacement for a future bullet resistant Kevlar. In addition, the spider's web solution can withstand extreme temperatures (did you hear that Spidey?). He went on to tell us that the spiral shape of sea shells and snails would be the new answer to low energy fan blades attached to motors. The ruffled shape of the shark fin at its end increases the speed of the shark. What if fan blades had ruffles?

The flight pattern of migrating birds in a V shape and the interchange of lead birds provides for the aerodynamic, low energy consumption group flight in which leaders create an air flow for followers to float upon, using less energy. "Imagine", he stated, "if instead of flying one plane at a time, we flew like the birds in a fleet of planes using their flight patterns. At any one time, there are five to six planes at major airports from various airlines going to the same destination". That would be incredible if we could get man to cooperate with man, as the birds have learned to cooperate with each other for the common good.

Daniel explained that man is responsible for cleaning up his own mess on this planet. In order to find solutions that work and present no further environmental problems as opposed to petro chemical solutions, Mankind must look to the plants and animals for solutions to apply to our problems here on Earth. Keeping it simple seems our best answer.

He went on to tell us of Blue World Crete, Inc.'s latest natural discovery. "In finding a superior alternative to Portland Cement, we can save the planet from one of the dirtiest manufacturing processes and one which consumes endless amounts of fossil fuels to keep the ovens burning in the manufacturing plants". He indicated that for every ton of cement produced, 1.25 tons of carbon dioxide is released into our environment. This does not include the tremendous amounts of heavy metals released into our environment.

The scientists at Blue World Crete, Inc. through their study of algae and mollusks have been able to isolate a protein enzyme that causes a biomineralization process of their exoskeleton structures, better known as their shells. This chemical reaction is exothermic, sharing electrons covalently and in so doing, directs the mineralization process to form a superior, monolithic, cementitious substance. A substance quite superior to Portland concrete when aggregates are mixed in with it.

He stated that they could not only mimic stone or cement, but also wood. That's right, wood. Blue World Crete scientists have used plant cuttings mixed with their proprietary agent and have formed wood-like structures. Telephone poles, railroad ties, fencing and construction timber are no problem for this algae extract.

According to Mr. Art Galietti, COO of Blue World Crete, this wood product is fire poof, insect proof and acid and alkali resistant. No normal occurring condition can adversely affect their new "Super Wood", they call "Geo-Blue Wood". According to the Florida based scientists, nature has given them the answer to deforestation. "....you never have to cut down another tree", says Mr. Galietti. The group is presently hard at work using biomimicry to come up with a replacement for steel made from the same biomineralization and extraction process. In addition, they are looking into pharmaceutical applications for their magic protein/enzyme from algae.

Blue World Crete Inc. licenses its technology to cement manufacturers and distributors worldwide. Their concrete, Geo-Blue Crete, is superior and surpasses ASTM standards. The cement, like the wood (Geo-Blue Wood) is self insulating and has an R (heat resistance) factor of 70 at a quarter inch thickness. The concrete is water proof, and can be mixed with salt water. Geo-Blue Crete, has an early rise in compression strength in 4 hours of 3,000 psi and cures out at 6,000 psi. Geo-Blue Crete will not allow embedded iron or other metals to rust or oxidize and has superior tensile strength, unlike Portland Cement. It is immune to acid and other caustic conditions and can be manufactured in portable ready-mix plants. It is green, non- toxic and best of all meets the economic challenge presented by Portland. It is expected to sell in many parts of the world 15%-20% under the cost of White Portland Cement. The company is now looking for manufacturers and distributors worldwide.
