Nikkei likely to hit new 7-month high; tankan eyed

TOKYO, Dec 15 (Reuters) -Japan's Nikkei average is expected to hit a new seven-month high on Wednesday with a weaker yen helping exporters, while the market carefully monitors the Bank of Japan's tankan survey due just before the open.
