UPDATE 1-Arch Coal lowers 2010 earnings targets

NEW YORK, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Arch Coal on Tuesday lowered its 2010 earnings targets because of lower shipments and poor rail service and said the first quarter of 2011 will be affected by the forced idling of one of its mines.
