US SMALL/MIDCAPS-Midcaps index hits record high as Intel lifts

NEW YORK, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Midcap and smallcap stocks advanced on Friday, pushing the S&P MidCap 400 index to an all-time intraday high, after a solid earnings report and outlook from Intel lifted technology stocks.
