WebMD (Nasdaq: WBMD) reversed year ago losses to post a profit for the first quarter but the stock price dropped.
Shares of Georgia Gulf (NYSE: GGC) continued falling after reporting lower first quarter earnings yesterday.
In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of nearly 2 to 1 on the NYSE and by more than 3 to 2 on Nasdaq. The Russell 2000 which tracks small cap stocks rose 4 points to 833.
