WINDSOR, ON, CANADA, March 26, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Stanford Who’s Who proudly announces the addition of Dean D. Wilkinson to the exclusive ranks of premier professionals as a result of his exceptional effort in the emergency services field. As Deputy Chief of Planning and Physical Resources with Essex-Windsor EMS (The County of Essex), as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Dean has routinely displayed the passion, vision, and dedication necessary to be successful in the business world.
In his role as Deputy Chief, Mr. Wilkinson is responsible for managing the Planning and Physical Resources department which consolidates planning and research functions; managing major capital and special projects; and overseeing all EMS facilities, technologies, equipment and vehicles.
Prior to becoming Deputy Chief, Mr. Wilkinson served as Operations Manager for 8 years and was previously the owner and General Manager of Owen Sound Emergency Services for 19 years. He was also employed by Rural/Metro Ontario (Rural/Metro Corporation) for 3 years prior to joining Essex-Windsor EMS. For his 40 plus years of service in EMS, Dean was awarded the Governor General of Canada EMS Exemplary Services Medal.
Dean currently sits on the Board of Directors for the International Association of EMS Chiefs and is member of the Association of Municipal Emergency Medical Services of Ontario. He has also served as a Director, the Vice President and President of the Ontario Ambulance Operator’s Association over a sixteen year period.
In the time away from his busy schedule, Mr. Wilkinson greatly enjoys restoring and preserving antique ambulances.
