Since January the number of designers on the site has skyrocketed from 50,000 to 150,000 and the number of designs created has grown from 600,000 to over 2 million.
The FPGirl announcement punctuates a surge in momentum for FashionPlaytes, which has seen both its number of site users and girl-created designs triple since the start of the year through strong word of mouth and brand advocacy from its tween design community. The site, which allows tween girls to design their own wearable fashions, is now growing at a rate of 15,000 new designers per week.
The site rebrand and its updated functionality are a direct result of FashionPlaytes’ interaction with its designers over the past several months, as the brand utilized both organized panel response and unsolicited user feedback to drive the direction and development of the new FPGirl platform.
