Stricter Regulations Weigh Down Coal Stocks

Concerns of stricter environmental regulations under President Barak Obama weighed down shares of Arch Coal Inc. (NYSE: ACI) $1.10 to $7.56, Alpha Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: ANR) $1.11 to $8.51 and James River Coal Co. (Nasdaq: JRCC) $1.10 to $3.60.
