PRLog - Aug 16, 2013 - KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Tom Drake, writer/producer of the new cruise ship comedy Best at Sea announced today that Creative Televisions Communications has agreed to provide the production services for his six episode series about five entertainers who are hired to stage a talent competition at sea.

The veteran cruise ship comedian explains, “I am building this project one piece at a time and the addition of an award winning video production company with extensive experience filming on cruise ships and for broadcast television was vital. Creative Television Communications will be the perfect fit.”

John Potts III, President and founder of Creative Television Communications explains, “I met Tom while filming onboard Holland America Line a few years ago. When he came to me with his idea for a television show about entertainers at sea, I was immediately interested. Best at Sea has a very talented cast, a powerful line-up of performers and great celebrity guests. This will be a fun show to watch and for everyone at Creative a really fun show to film. We are excited.”

Veteran entertainers Tom Drake, David Sayh, Elliot Finkel, Ian Finkel and Michael Minor all play themselves in this one half hour one camera comedy that will also feature performances by two of the award winning acts performing at sea and a celebrity judge in each episode.

Award winning Australian entertainer Greg Bonham, original Star Search winner Kenny James, World Class Illusionist Devlin, comedy ventriloquist Patrick and Matilda, Branson favorite Brandi Chapman and comedy magician John Ferrentino are just some of the acts that have been slated to perform.

Celebrity judges who will appear include Emmy Award winning actor Fyvush Finkel, Hall of Fame Sports Broadcaster Verne Lundquist and former teen idol and now Cruise Director Willie Aames.

Drake explains “the show has a celebrity judge but there is not an actual competition. Best at Sea is really a show about a competition. Every act performing in this show is a winner many times over”.

At this time, Drake says he is now reaching out to each of the major cruise lines in search of a cruise ship on which to film this series. Tom explains, “One of the most exciting parts of this show will be filming at sea. Viewers who have never cruised before will now be able to see what life at sea onboard a 500 million dollar floating palace is like right in their living room. I am predicting that we will have many more cruisers after this show goes on the air.”

Although, he does not yet have a broadcast network partner, this New Jersey born comic is optimistic, “I have a very talented cast, a line-up of amazing acts whose performances will really surprise viewers, legendary celebrity judges, a film crew whose on location work is spectacular and a grumpy puppet.  How can this show miss?”
