Canada gains 13,200 jobs; jobless rate at 6.9%

The Canadian economy added more jobs in October than anticipated and the unemployment rate remained at a near five-year low, as hiring in the public sector and the hospitality industry offset broad-based weakness in the private sector, Statistics Canada says Friday.
