OBJE Closes in on Game Licensing Agreement

With industry analysts predicting that the worldwide video game industry will grow to a value of more than $100 billion next year, OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE) is working to capture an increasing market share by signing a new deal to license and develop hot new mobile titles.

The company is close to signing a partnering agreement with Corv Studios to produce and publish fun and engaging new gaming apps for smartphones and tablets. If and when an agreement is reached, the partners would publish the games under OBJE’s Novalon Games brand.

OBJE has made expanding its slate of mobile games the company’s top priority for 2014, spurred by the incredible growth of the marketplace this year. According to industry analyst Gartner, Inc., the worldwide video game marketplace grew from $79 billion in 2012 to $93 billion this year. Mobile games are the fastest-growing segment of the market, with the analyst predicting that revenue will nearly double by 2015 from $13.2 billion this year to $22 billion.

OBJE is working to build a robust portfolio of engaging new content to capitalize on the explosion in gaming across the globe. The company earned its first revenues this year by releasing new games including Phantasmic and Bluff Wars 2.0, with Novalon’s latest title, Creature Tavern, hitting the Google Play app market last week—just in time for the holiday buying season, when more apps are purchased than at any other time of the year.

Through its gaming division, Obscene Interactive, OBJE is working to deliver many more innovative gaming products for the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) App Store and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Play market alongside companies such as Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU) and The9 Limited (NASDAQ: NCTY).
