CHICAGO/CLEVELAND, Ohio, Jan 6 (Reuters) - A blast of Arctic air gripped the vast middle of the United States on Monday, with the coldest temperatures in two decades threatening lives, forcing businesses and schools to close and canceling thousands of flights.
