After a strong opening at its flagship location in Garden City, New York, Mac & Melts is now preparing to expand into new territory. Richard Yorke, CRO and owner, has announced that consistently high customer satisfaction ratings have motivated the company to introduce its exceptional menu to even more diners by opening new locations. Excited by this opportunity for growth and positive reception from the public and the casual dining market, Yorke and his colleagues are taking initiative to build a strong brand in this critical period of development.

Building off the successful menu development spearheaded by former head chef Stu Brown, Mac & Melts has recently welcomed the culinary leadership of Jared Drew. With an extensive 22-year career as a trained corporate chef, Drew delivers both a high knowledge of business management and menu creation—a natural fit for the Mac & Melts growth plan.

Drew, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, NY, has led a progressive career in the food services industry. In the early days of his career, Drew served as the garde manger for 14 international airlines, including Air France, based at JFK International Airport. Later, Drew took on the role of sous chef, conquering the country club set; this experience in fine dining enabled him to spring board to executive chef and climb the corporate ladder.

In the latter half of his career, Jared Drew grew as an executive chef in corporate atmospheres. Serving major companies—including NetApps and Blue Cross Blue Shield of the Carolinas—Drew demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for producing high-quality meals up to an average of 600 a day. In addition to training comprehensive staffs, Drew has also been a trusted authority to manage culinary budgets ranging from $2 to $6 million per annum.
