Black Duck Appoints Mark Fusco to Its Board of Directors

Black Duck Software, the trusted partner for open source software (OSS) adoption, management, and governance, today announced that Mark Fusco has joined its Board of Directors. Fusco most recently served as CEO of AspenTech (NASDAQ:AZPN), the world’s leading supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing. As a board member, Fusco will provide counsel and insight to the Black Duck executive team as the company continues to lead the open source management industry.

Fusco’s nine-year tenure as CEO of AspenTech included double-digit growth for five consecutive years, greatly expanding the company’s reach in delivering industry-leading manufacturing and supply chain software services and solutions.

Black Duck achieved record growth in 2013 driven by enterprise subscriptions, license renewals and new customer acquisition. This past December, the company appointed Shipley as its CEO. He is tasked with accelerating the company’s significant momentum and building upon its sizable base of over 1,300 customers in 24 countries.
