Coca-Cola China Recognizes Praxair Beijing as “Best Quality” Supplier in China

Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) received Coca-Cola China’s 2013 Best Quality Supplier Award at its 2013 Sustainable Supplier Summit in Shanghai.

Praxair works with Coca-Cola globally, supplying the company with carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen. The company has supplied CO2 to Coca-Cola bottling plants in China since the late 1990’s, including Beijing and Tianjin in northern China and the Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, as well as Shanghai in eastern China. In China, Coca-Cola uses the CO2 for the production of non-alcoholic sparkling beverages.

Praxair Beijing achieved the highest score among all suppliers on a rigorous on-site assessment review. The assessment included reviews of the company’s raw materials, quality-control systems, customer service and its finished products. Coca-Cola also took into consideration the consistency of Praxair’s CO2 products and the overall reliability of its supply to the company.
