PRLog - May 27, 2014 - Officials of Bashen Corporation (Bashen) today announced that they have filed a lawsuit against the law firm Littler Mendelson (Littler) for patent infringement of Bashen's EEO case management software, LinkLine®. United States Patent No. 6,985,922 is owned by Bashen Corporation and is titled Method Apparatus And System For Processing Compliance Action Over A Wide Area Network. The lawsuit was filed on April 30, 2014 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas (Houston Division), Civil Action No.12-CV-1566.

Nearly 20 years ago, Janet Bashen founded Bashen Corporation, a human resources consulting firm with a market niche in Equal Employment Opportunity compliance. After years of dedicated service to her company and the industry, Ms. Bashen developed the patented employment software LinkLine®, which provides improved and more efficient EEO compliance and case management. As a recognized industry leader in the EEO compliance industry, Ms. Bashen has testified before Congress and has been inducted into the Black Inventors Hall of Fame. And as principal of a company that spent substantial time and money developing its intellectual property, Ms. Bashen takes very seriously any violation of her patent rights.

"Our technological innovations have become part of my intellectual property portfolio, and have set us apart from the competition. We have an unwavering commitment to protect what was conceived and developed more than a decade ago." This is the second time Bashen Corporation has been compelled to enforce its patent in Federal Court, the first case settling almost a year ago.
