Savory Institute.Org announces OVIS XXI as an accredited Savory Institute affiliated Hub in Argentina

OVIS 21 will lead in Argentina introducing SI Holistic Management programming to local communities, government, NGOs and farmers
PRLog - Jun. 6, 2014 - BOULDER, Colo. -- Savory Institute.Org, an International US based non-profit, announced that it has entered into an agreement with OVIS XXI, an organization to serve as a local hub for ecological, social and financial restoration in Argentina through education, training and consulting services.

Daniela Howell, CEO of Savory Institute.Org said, “Ovis XXI has been extremely successful in empowering pastoralists in their region to implement Holistic Management and planned grazing. They’ve also built tremendous relationships with brands like Patagonia Inc and Stella McCartney. Ovis XXI has helped these forward-thinking brands see the value in supporting, through their wool purchases, practices that go beyond sustainability and accomplish true regeneration”

“Since 2003 when we began using Holistic Management, we’ve seen most landscapes at least double in production capacity” said Pablo Borelli, CEO of Ovis XXI. “Our goal is to impact 6 million hectares of land in the region and we’ve already impacted more than 1.3 million hectares.”

Savory Institute.Org is partnering with local organizations worldwide to create a global network of 100 SI affiliated hubs by 2025.  Ovis XXI was one of the 2013 Hub Candidates which included organizations from South Africa, Chile, USA, Sweden, Turkey and Spain.
