Constellation Announces 2014 E2 Energy to Educate Grant Recipients

Constellation today announced the recipients of its 2014 E2 Energy to Educate Grants program for student projects focusing on energy science, technology and education. Constellation awarded $340,000 in funding to 11 projects reaching more than 7,000 students, grades 6 through college.

Winning submissions included projects from schools and community organizations in Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and Wisconsin. Student projects included installing solar panels, constructing fuel cells, building and racing electric vehicles, and analyzing building energy efficiency. Since its inception in 2010, Constellation’s Energy to Educate grants program has provided over $1.8 million in funding for 55 student projects that have enhanced the understanding of energy-related science and technology issues. Grant recipients are announced each year during American Education Week.
