Guidance Software Appoints Chief Revenue Officer to Accelerate Adoption of Market-leading Security Solutions

Guidance Software, (NASDAQ:GUID), the World Leader in Digital Investigations™, today announced the appointment of Jay Ackerman as its first chief revenue officer. Ackerman will provide leadership across all customer-facing organizations to deliver the highest-quality customer experience, from initial contact through the sales process, implementation, and ongoing management. Those teams include sales, professional services, and technical support.

Ackerman most recently served as head of worldwide sales and customer success for ServiceSource, where he led an organization that dramatically increased revenues from $25 million to $285 million. He helped the company achieve a compounded growth rate of 35 percent while transitioning from a pure labor-based solution to one providing a proprietary cloud and managed-services offering. In 2011, the initial public offering of ServiceSource resulted in a market valuation of $1 billion.

While serving as President and CEO for WNS North America, Ackerman launched the company’s North America sales team and sales approach. He negotiated the largest WNS contract with a leading online travel company—a seven-year relationship valued at over $225 million. While at Exult, Ackerman progressed through several customer-facing roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Accounts, where he was responsible for over $80 million in revenue.
