Eversource Energy to Ring NYSE Opening Bell under New Name

Eversource Energy Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Tom May will ring the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange tomorrow morning signaling the trading of the company’s shares under its new name and stock symbol (“ES”).

On Feb. 2, Northeast Utilities and its operating companies across three states began operating under the new brand name of Eversource Energy. Shares of the company have continued to trade under the symbol “NU” until the change effective tomorrow.

Eversource Energy has a market capitalization of more than $16 billion, assets of nearly $30 billion and 317 million shares outstanding.
