PRLog - May 17, 2015 - WASHINGTON -- The Association of Adult Musicians with Hearing Loss cordially invites the general public to attend our inaugural benefit concert on May 29 at 7:30 pm, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 945 G Street, Washington DC. Performers include local musicians Charles Mokotoff, classical guitarist and Albert Hunt, clarinet.  Special guests include pianist/composer Jennifer Castellano from New York, violinist Stephen Shey from Boston, and jazz singer Mandy Harvey from Orlando, Florida.   The performers all have hearing losses ranging from moderate to profound, and will perform music from the classical and jazz genres.

This concert is unique in that will be accessible to members of the audience with hearing loss as well as those with normal hearing. Real-time captioning and a hearing loop will be available for members of the audience who use telecoil-enabled hearing devices.

The Association is also honored that deaf composer Jay Alan Zimmerman from New York City, who has been called the "Beethoven of Broadway", will be the emcee for this event.
