Community First Credit Union and the St. Augustine Amphitheatre proudly announce the return of the free, family-friendly “Community First Night Owl Cinema” Series.
PRLog - June 9, 2015 - ST AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Community First Credit Union (Community First) and the St. Augustine Amphitheatre proudly announce the return of the free, family-friendly “Community First Night Owl Cinema” Series. This year, the series will feature seven movie nights throughout the summer months, beginning with fan favorite “Napoleon Dynamite” on Sunday, June 14, and ending with the beloved “Babe” on Friday, August 7. The series is free and open to all ages, with free parking and concessions available for purchase.
Now in its third year, the Community First Night Owl Cinema Series draws thousands of moviegoers who come to enjoy free, family-friendly films projected on a giant 18 by 32 foot screen on the St. Augustine Amphitheatre stage. It is because of the partnership with Community First that the Amphitheatre is able to provide this community entertainment at no charge. As St. Augustine Amphitheatre General Manager Ryan Murphy explained, “Community First’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves is the reason that people of all ages can enjoy several evenings of free entertainment throughout the summer. We are proud and grateful for the opportunity to partner with such a generous organization for the third year in a row.”
This year’s movie lineup was selected for its appeal to children, parents and grandparents – from “Napoleon Dynamite” to “Paddington,” the original “Cinderella” to “Muppets Most Wanted.” For a complete listing of movie and dates, please see the following page. Gates will open at 7 p.m. and movies will begin at 8 p.m. Parking at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre will be free on movie nights. Moviegoers will enjoy special family-friendly activities inspired by the featured movie’s theme and children of all ages are welcome to come dressed in character.
“We are proud to continue this family summer tradition,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First. “We’re looking forward to a great lineup at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.”
