Invisalign is a newer option that uses a series of transparent trays to slowly re-align the teeth. Dentists create a mold of the patient’s teeth and then make small adjustments with each new tray. Then the patient changes trays every 2 weeks until their teeth are back in alignment. Some patients will still require the traditional wire braces due to teeth being too far out of alignment for invisalign to be effective.
Another new option now being offered by New Teeth New Smile is veneers. Veneers are a way to protect teeth from further damage while also altering the shape, size and color to the patient’s preference. The veneers provided by this Austin facility are typically made of porcelain or a composite material. After preparations are made the material is bonded to the front of the affected teeth altering their appearance and protecting them from further erosion.
