The UPNEXT 1.0 Hack is a week-long contest in which teams compete to transform an idea into a viable product for a chance to $25,000 in cash and prizes. In true startup fashion, teams will work throughout the week to create the best product and present the best pitch to impress the judges. This contest is designed for early-stage startups that have an idea, but have not yet started to build a product. Individuals or groups may register as part of the UPNEXT Festival. The UPNEXT 2.0 Pitch Contest is designed for established startups who wish to polish their pitches in order to impress a panel of Angel and VC investors. Both of these contests are part of the 8-day UPNEXT Festival that celebrates technology, design and the arts in the Capital region.
