USA Truck Announces New General Counsel

USA Truck, Inc. (NASDAQ:USAK), a leading capacity solutions provider headquartered in Van Buren, AR, announced today the appointment of Troy A. Robertson as general counsel.

Mr. Robertson was previously chief counsel for Con-way Truckload Inc., with responsibility for managing all legal affairs of the company, overseeing its workers compensation and claims departments, and managing its government relations efforts, both legislative and regulatory, at the state level in Missouri. He also represented the company on the boards of directors of the Truckload Carriers Association, Missouri Trucking Association, Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Associated Industries of Missouri.

Mr. Robertson joined Con-way Truckload as a management trainee in 2000 and served as chief counsel from 2007, when Con-way acquired Contract Freighters, Inc. (CFI) until the present. During his tenure with Con-way, in addition to managing the company’s legal affairs, he held various management positions in employee benefits, workers compensation, human resources and marketing. Early in his career, he worked for Andersen Consulting, LLP and for Yellow Freight System, Inc. as a member of its legal department.

A licensed attorney and member of the Missouri Bar, Mr. Robertson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors from the University of Missouri in 1996. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1999.
