Dec. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- ‘The Stolen Christmas’ is a short film by KARA studios (http://www.karastudios.com) that poses a heretical challenge to the long-unquestioned, carnal needs of a married woman who feels physically refrained in the clumsy ‘kholi’ in Mumbai. She is looking for a solitary space for herself and seeking a change in life.
Carol is a working woman with a loving family. Like other people dwelling in BDD Chawl that sprawls across 93 acres of Mumbai, Carol rests in the kitchen and feels suffocated due to the lack of personal space.
This leads to a revolt within herself and she finds a way to let out her desperation. On the Christmas Eve, she takes an intense decision. The only issue- she can’t find her special moment living her regular life with her family.
You will have to watch the film to find out what happens next.
Set against the backdrop of hustling Mumbai, actress Maushumi Udeshi has essayed the role of Carol. The movie has been lauded by critics for its thought provoking, challenging and courageous theme. The film has generated an overwhelming response from online viewers and already garnered more than 3.5 lakh views in just four days.
