About Ed Thoroughbred Williams:
Edward Williams Jr. was born on April 18,1983 in Detroit Michigan. Williams started training and boxing at the age of 17 mentored by his late uncle former WBC Champion Duane Thomas.
Ed began his career as an amateur fighter with the legendary Kronk Boxing Club. He won the U.S. Open for the state of Michigan title twice and received two National Golden Glove Championships. Williams became a professional boxer in 2008. He has trained with some of the best in boxing his record of (10-1-1, 4 KOs) In the Jr Welter Weight and Welter Weight division has placed him in the ring along side Mickey Bey, Baha Mamadjnov and more. Ed was a feature fighter for the Brooklyn Brawl series as well.
In 2010 he received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Eastern University. Williams Is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Ed “Thoroughbred” Williams is considered to be one of the best pound for pound fighters of this time. He displays an unprecedented mix of speed power and instinct in the ring. Ed is in full preparation for his first title fight under the direction of trainer Trevon Chambers also known as Third.
