Now That Wasn’t So Bad: Stocks End Week Mixed Despite Fed Noise

Stocks finished the week mixed despite volatility surrounding the release of the hawkish minutes from the FOMC's April meeting . The S&P 500 rose 0.3%% to 2,052.32 this week after rising 0.6% today, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2% to 17,500.94 this week after advancing 0.4% today. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.1% to 4,769.56 this week after jumped 1.2% today. The week started with volatility galore , as investors fretted that a more hawkish Fed would push the dollar higher and cause the market to fall. Wells Fargo's Gina Martin Adams and Peter Chung aren't concerned that a stronger dollar will cause the stock market to fall:
