AAPAN Names Roberts President and CEO

By: PRLog
WASHINGTON - June 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Association of Payers, Administrators and Networks (AAPAN) today announced that seasoned association executive Julian Roberts will lead the organization as President and CEO.

Roberts succeeds Karen Greenrose who recently retired after serving in that position for the past four years.

Formed in 2012, AAPAN is the parent association for the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO) and the Third Party Administrators Association of America (TPAAA). It provides a platform for unifying payers, administrators and networks as a collective public policy voice advocating for affordable health care delivery options centered on patient choice.

In his new role, Roberts also will serve as AAPPO's and TPAAA's President and CEO. He will continue to serve as Executive Director for both the National Association of Specialty Health Organizations and the National Association of Vision Care Plans.

"Julian was instrumental in uniting AAPPO and TPAAA to form AAPAN," said AAPAN and TPAAA Board Chairperson, and President and CEO of Group Resources, Inc. Thomas Byrd. "He has a clear understanding of the many challenges our organizations face and the confident leadership required to help all of us meet them head on."

"Julian's long and dedicated service with AAPPO made him the ideal person to lead AAPAN," said Mario Vangeli, AAPPO Board Chairperson and CIGNA vice president. "Our members are fortunate indeed to have such a knowledgeable healthcare professional at the helm."
