UPDATE 1-MSCI declines to add domestic Chinese shares to global benchmark

NEW YORK, June 14 (Reuters) - U.S. index provider MSCI Inc said on Tuesday it would hold off on adding China-listed stocks to one of its key benchmarks, a major disappointment for Chinese policymakers who had sought to satisfy MSCI's calls for improved access to its capital markets.
