The Hot Stock: Endo International Soars 15% on CEO Swap

I was wrestling with whether to discuss the best performing stock in the S&P 500 today or, since it's Friday, the week. Turns out, they're one and the same: Endo International ( ENDP ). Endo shot up 15% to $23.40 today--putting it up 12% for the week--after the specialty-pharmaceutical company said that its CEO Rajiv De Silva had resigned and would be replaced immediately by Paul Campanelli . The S&P 500, by contrast, dropped 0.6% to 2,164.69 today to finish the week up 1.2%. Citigroup's Murali Ganti and David Beard explain why the market loves Endo's move:
