Clayton Williams Energy Inc. (NYSE: CWEI) will be acquired by Noble Energy (NYSE: NBL) for a premium of approximately $2.7 billion in cash and stock including the assumption of debt. Shares of Clayton Williams Energy leaped $41.27 to close at $145.25 while Noble Energy stock soared $2.66 to close at $40.05.
