Delta Private Jets’ New Leadership Appointments Confirm Dedication to Building a World-Class Organization in the Private Aviation Industry

The addition of Jeff Fehlis, Robert Bourrier, Patrick Busscher, Michael Trent, Barry Behnfeldt, Mark Carroll, and Clint Foss is a testament to Delta’s commitment to grow the Delta Private Jets brand and enhance the overall client experience, led by strategic and innovative leaders to build a sustainable competitive advantage, drive revenue, and deliver a truly unique and seamless private-to-commercial travel solution.

Jeff Fehlis has joined Delta Private Jets as Vice President of Sales. Jeff previously served as the Managing Director, Global Sales for Delta. He led the Global Agency Sales group team that focused on maximizing worldwide revenue, strengthening both internal and external relationships, and managing partnerships with Delta's largest Travel Management Companies (TMC). In addition, he coordinated a matrix organization including Sales Development, EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific teams to manage TMC business on a global scale. His career in the industry spans nearly 30 years of airline sales leadership across two major carriers and includes global corporate and trade sales, sponsorships and promotions, strategic market planning, and corporate citizenship.

Robert Bourrier, who previously served as Delta’s District Sales Manager – Seattle District and West Region Analytics, is joining Delta Private Jets as the Director of Sales and Analytics. In his previous role at Delta, Robert was responsible for a global portfolio including world-class brands such as Amazon, Nordstrom and Starbucks across four states. Robert also developed an analytical tool suite that was implemented across Delta’s Global Sales network. Throughout his 17-year career in the airline industry, Robert has proven to be a top performer in all of the roles he has held. These have included several key lines of business such as Government, Military, Automotive Global Agency, and Global Corporate.

Jeff and Robert will be focused on unifying Delta’s unparalleled commercial sales and service strategies and analytics at Delta Private Jets. Their track record for amplifying sales by creating a customer-centric culture will strengthen Delta Private Jets’ position in the private jet industry.

Delta Private Jets is dedicated to building a world-class maintenance enterprise, following the industry-leading best practices of Delta TechOps. To further strengthen Delta Private Jets’ operation, Patrick Busscher, a 35-year Delta veteran will transition from his role as General Manager – Operations Support to serve as the Director of Maintenance Control for Delta Private Jets. Patrick brings extensive experience in maintenance, fleet reliability, and maintenance control from Delta. He will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the fleet and work closely with all operating groups to ensure the best customer service.

Michael Trent will also join the Delta Private Jets maintenance team and serve as Director – Aircraft Reliability. Michael brings more than 10 years of proven leadership from Delta, in both finance and operational performance. Trent will be responsible for fleet reliability improvements on all Delta Private Jets aircraft, utilizing historical data and individual aircraft trends. He will also work across business units to develop business models and performance metrics at all levels of the organization. Both Patrick and Michael will report to Lee Gossett, a 26-year Delta veteran and Delta Private Jets’ Senior Vice President of Maintenance.

Barry Behnfeldt, a seasoned Delta Captain, joins Delta Private Jets as the Director of Flight Operations. Working closely with the operators, pilots, and crew, Barry will be focused on flight operations efficiency, FAA communication, and ongoing process and training improvement. He has 18 years of experience flying with Delta where he also served as Special Assignment Supervisor to the Managing Director of Flying Operations, overseeing nine chief pilot offices, as well as the Flight Operations Military Liaison responsible for over 1,300 active reserve pilots. Barry also served as a Captain in the U.S. Navy flying the F/A-18 for over 30 years.

Clint Foss is an Associate in the corporate practice at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, where he advises clients on commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating various supply, services, and licensing agreements. Clint will be joining Delta Private Jets as Chief Legal Counsel. Clint has worked extensively with Delta, including an earlier full-time secondment to the Delta Legal Department in Atlanta in 2016. Before practicing law, Clint worked for Boeing Commercial Airplanes for five years in various finance and supply chain roles.

Mark Carroll will continue this tradition of excellence in safety as the new Director of Safety, Security and Compliance at Delta Private Jets. In Mark’s most recent role as General Manager - Flight Safety Programs at Delta, he was responsible for the management and growth of safety programs including: Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA), Special Winter Operations Airport (SWOA), Line Safety Coordinator (LSC), and Investigations. During his tenure, Mark played a pivotal role in the Delta/Northwest merger and led the effort to expand the use of safety data at the airline.
