Zolon Tech Solutions Expands Global Delivery Center

Zolon Tech Solutions, Inc., a minority-owned, global provider of IT services, this morning announced it is expanding its Global Delivery Center in Hyderabad, India. The expansion is being driven by the need to accommodate delivery of new software and engineering solutions to customers in the manufacturing and insurance sectors. Zolon is developing a digital factory for one of its key customers in the manufacturing sector and a virtual captive center for one of its key customers in the insurance sector.

The purpose of the digital factory is to extend the value of Zolons successful Rapid Engineering Design, or Zolon RED®, solution. Zolon enables manufacturers to quickly create and use digital prototypesin addition to concept designsin their New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) processes. By effectively streamlining the NPDI process, a manufacturers concept designs and digital prototypes can be developed quickly and accessed immediately by globally distributed suppliers, customers and production facilities.

We help manufacturers gain a discrete advantage when we transform their product manufacturing processes into digital factories, said Goutham Amarneni, CEO of Zolon Tech Solutions. Difficulty in calculating new product manufacturability and lack of coordination between production facilities typically result in escalating manufacturing costs. By leveraging Zolons Rapid Engineering Design solution, manufacturers can reduce the time it takes to create concept designs by as much as sixty percent and increase the effectiveness of their sales and marketing efforts through the use of digital prototypes. Manufacturers generate additional efficiencies when we integrate those digital assets with their ERP applications.

The purpose of the virtual captive center will be to develop global, cross-company expertise so the insurance sector customer can better leverage business process as a competitive advantage. It will also enhance the ability of other mid-size organizations to realize the same benefits of globalizing their IT departments that Global 2000 organizations currently realize.

As our customers portfolio of development operations increase in global locations, the need to better manage risk becomes even more important, added Doug Stokes, president of Zolon Tech Solutions. The virtual captive center model allows us to apply the concept of portfolio management to our customers IT application landscapes. With this model, our customers can leverage dedicated resources on a packet pricing basis. This is particularly useful for companies in the mid-market with revenues from $100 million to $5 billion since virtual captive center resources expand and contract in accordance with software development peaks and valleys. Meanwhile, the core team remains constant to ensure continuity of specialized customer knowledge.
