MetaPass, Inc., makers of the universal single sign-on (SSO) solution, today announced MetaPass SSO v.4.5.
Single sign-on gives computer users the ability to log onto multiple secure systems without having to authenticate with passwords multiple times. Users securely logon once and then access all other applications with a single click, dramatically increasing network security and user productivity, while reducing user frustration and help desk costs.
Unlike old-generation SSO solutions, MetaPass doesn't rely on internal Windows functions to communicate credentials to applications, because this method fails in many cases and is dangerously vulnerable to changes. Instead, MetaPass uses a patented, universal technology, independent on the operating system or the target applications.
