The incentive system of outrageous bonuses and perks that developed in financial services in the past 25 years is clearly a major culprit in the global crisis. But the Obama reaction to it threatens a view of Wall Street as a moveable feast for congressional and regulatory reform, rather than the few cracked eggs that FDR digested in his post-Depression banquet.
