Daniel is a telecommunications expert with over 24 years of industry experience who is responsible for managing HUB’s HE’s POP’s, and all associated resources for the province of Ontario. He leads an Ontario-wide team tasked with constructing and modifying Headend and Data facilities for improved capacity as well as for better customer experience of VoIP, High Speed Internet, TLS, Ethernet and Digital TV services.
Mr. Smith has a proven track record of providing leadership in network engineering and operational projects, managing teams with customer service orientation, teamwork and collaboration, adaptability and innovation. He has regularly exercised exceptional judgment and initiatives in the designing, planning and implementation of complex projects with in-depth analysis and risk assessment of multiple system and services.During his collegiate career, Daniel studied Telecommunications at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics. He also attended St. Clair College. Mr. Smith is a member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers. He was the recipient of a Military Certificate of Honours in 1987and 1991 from the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics.
