Medtronic Inc. (NYSE: MDT) agreed to purchase ATS Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: ATSI) for approximately $315.2 million in cash. Shares of Medtronic rose 75 cents to $44.09 while ATS stock surged $1.36 to $3.95.
