Education Policy Makers head to New Delhi for the Asian Summit on Education & Skills

Education Ministers, policy makers and key educationists from Asian countries and will gather in New Delhi next week for the India-led Asian Summit on Education & Skills. The summit, which runs from 9–12 September 2014, is the partner event to the Education World Forum, London, for sharing and debating policy developments in education.

ASES recognises the needs and desires of governments (national and state) in the Region to develop education at all levels; the ability of major industry players to play key roles in making change happen; and the value of a regional summit to build consensus and promote confidence among decision-makers in their routes to successful policies and in the industry partners who can help them.

The summit brings together influential leaders, eminent educationists and other key stakeholders to create an unparalleled platform for exchange of dialogues on policy, implementation of future practices and new growth drivers that are revolutionising the education and training sector in India and around the world.

The Summit is partnered by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India and Education World Forum, London, and is supported by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and the British Council. It is hosted by the India Didactics Association (IDA) and its strong organising team. The Industry partners of the summit include Microsoft, Promethean and HP.

The summit begins on Tuesday 9 September and continues concurrently with Worlddidac India, the largest exhibition for educational & training products and solutions in the Asia Pacific region, which takes place from 10 to 12 September 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
