Background
I want to tell you about a very exciting project that may help thousands of high school and college students pick the right major for their dream career.
With more than 20 years in finance, I changed my career a number of times before I found my dream job. When I did, I easily made Managing Director, the highest rung that you can get on Wall Street (outside of senior management).
But I wasted a lot of time and money, changing my major more than 5-6 times before I found my dream job in finance. Why? Because nobody in my circle of family and close friends knew anything about the finance business or how it worked.
I actually landed in finance because one of my clients hired me to work in his company - he wound up going back to Wall Street. He wanted me to come with him because he thought that I would love the business. You know what? He was right!
Now I have college aged children and I have been working with them from the start, helping with the research they needed to land their dream job. My daughter just landed her dream job in Boston, MA. She did it in the tenth of the time that I did. Why? Because she talked to a lot of people and learned as much as she could about different careers, finally landing an awesome job that she loves.
The Idea - SABIENT SELECT
So, my wife and I were thinking - What if we created a model that would make it fun and interesting for high school and college students to learn about hundreds of careers BEFORE they chose their major. What if they could "test drive" a career by learning about "the day in the life" of someone that was already there? You know, learn from people who, if they had it to do over again, would "do it differently," and they were willing to share their thoughts to help others.
Our Raise
We are looking to raise about $5,000 to build the website that will house our fun and exciting framework with lots of videos, information and community to expose students to as many careers as possible, to help them make a better decision.
And for anyone thinking about a second career, you can use the same information to figure out the quickest way of getting there.
If we don't reach our goal of $5,000, we will still build it, it is just going to take a little bit longer to do so.
Anyone who contributes $5 or $10, we will tell you how much we love you. Anyone donating $25 or more will get a one year membership subscription to the website (75% off what we are planning on charging annually).
Your contribution may help hundreds, thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands students decide on the right major in order to have a fulfilling career. Instead of wasting money on switching majors or taking additional courses, students might save hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars!

We need your support to get us going. We are calling on your sense of community and support of young people to make this happen.
My wife and I have worked on a number of successful projects at the local level. We understand the value of making every dollar count and getting the most bang for your buck.
We have spent thousands of our own dollars learning how to create "killer" webpages and putting together marketing plans. We are now ready to "roar."
We take your interest and support very seriously. We want you to view our finished product and say, "I was there from the beginning and I am very proud of what we have accomplished."
Our biggest challenge is going to be gathering all of the information and making it informative, interesting, useful and fun.
We have a lot of proven and successful sales and marketing strategies.
My wife has worked in the PTA on the local and national level for more than 20 years. She KNOWS what parents and students are looking for.
