SaveAPooch.com and Chateau Pooch have announced a joint rescue dog donation drive to help organizations collect dog care items. Pet owners are invited to donate dog accessories that they no longer need to Toronto’s west end daycare, Chateau Pooch at 101- 1 Marine Parade Dr, Toronto, Ontario from December 8th to the 12th.
“We are joining hands with Chateau Pooch to hold a donation drive that can help rescue organizations and the dogs that are in their care,” says the spokesperson for SaveAPooch.com. “This effort is in continuance of our commitment to spreading the right awareness and education which we believe is the key to rescue dogs finding the right homes, right parents at the right time. We will be accepting items such as toys, clothing, leashes and other accessories.”
It is generally known that a large number of dog rescue organizations are forced to depend on product donations to keep their operations going. Unfortunately, foster volunteers who act as temporary owners for the main organizations often have to pay out of their pockets for dog accessories while they await adoption.
Despite the increase in adoptions, rescue organizations and volunteers are severely challenged by the number of dogs still needing help. “There are simply not enough personnel or resources to help all of them,” says spokesperson.
